I'm in love with Tretorn boots!

Even though I love my Hunter boots, I also want a pair from Tretorn!

They have rubber boots in different heights and lots of different colours! They have other styles of boots as well and apparel, but mostly I just love their rain boots - especially as it is starting to rain more and more often.

The Skerry design

They were originally designed for sailing, according to their website, and are priced well below Hunters, so if you want a great pair of rubber boots, and ones that aren't knee-high these would be terrific!

The Hunter boots come with Welly socks which are fun, cozy and trendy, but the Tretorn boots have a permanent furry lining. Depending on the style of boots, the lining can be thicker or thinner depending on what you like.

Are these not adorable?

These are the Skerry Vinter and they are only $10 more for the super fuzzy lining!

Check out these purple ones!!!

I think you can tell where I will be going this week!

More options are available @ http://store.tretorn.com/

I would love to hear your opinion on your favourite rubber boots!

As always, happy shopping :)

Bring colour into fall!

Coloured clothes don't have to be put away when summer fades and fall arrives and melds into winter. You can have splashes of colour in your fall wardrobe, it doesn't have to be dark and gloomy like the days.

Bring some cheer into fall :)

I found some of these pieces that will bring a warm feeling into your fall wardrobe:

Gap Cashmere blend sweater

Or this 3/4 length plum cardigan from H&M

Or the "Sabine" dress by Wilfred available at Aritzia

This is beautiful! It comes in a couple of colours too - hurry up and get yours!

Or this Tunic dress by Wildfred, the "Sanya"

Or the "Gathered Bolman" top from Forever 21

Or this oversized knit top from Forever 21

At $18.80 the price isn't going to get any better for this top!

As always - happy shopping :)

Fall into Fall and Winter Boots!

I am going to give away my age a little bit here, I'm in my mid - late twenties.

High school wasn't that long ago, but it seems like ages. Although I look back on it (for the most part) fondly, there are still some parts of it that I wouldn't re-do if you paid me, there are some things I thought that I can look back now and laugh about.

Case and point - Rubber Boots.

What comes to mind when you think of rubber boots? Your first thought is probably to envision a farmer fud type character right? Me too!

In high school I would not be caught dead wearing a pair of rubber boots! Not even if you paid me! Or winter boots for that matter! And I live in a climate where boots are a necessity in the winter. That didn't matter, I was not going to be caught dead in boots in the winter because they were not cool.

The Uggs came out, and I was one of the first of my friends to really get into them - I have at least 10 pairs now. My collection may even grow as they have come out with some newer and more up-to-date styles. I got my first pair of Uggs when I was 21. I actually bought them on Ebay straight from Australia! Even though they were being shipped across the globe, they were still cheaper than buying them locally.

This pair of Uggs is exactly the same as the first pair I got. I loved them so so much that I bought several more pairs over the course of the next couple of years!

More recently rubber boots have become all the rage. You know exactly what I'm talking about! And if you don't - well you either don't have rain where you live (not likely) or the trend hasn't hit your country or area yet. I'm talking about Hunter Wellies or Rubber Boots as we all know them. "Wellies" is the popular term from England, where these boots come from. And believe me, you can trust the UK knows about their fair share of rain!

Now I decided this year for the first time ever to invest in a pair of Rubber Boots - Hunter Rubber Boots or Wellies to be specific, these ones:

I also got a pair of "Welly socks"! Welly socks come in different patterns and prints, are made of fleece and are as tall as the boots and cuff over the top of the boot. They are fantastic! Not only do they look super cute and you can customize them - they make your rubber boots warm and snuggly!

Hunter Wellies are very expensive, they will run you about $150 CDN and the Welly socks are $50. Not cheap by any stretch! However, if you compare them to a price of Uggs they are reasonable, especially when you consider that they are completely water-proof, where as Uggs are not - no matter how many times you spray them with "all weather protector"!

If you live in a climate where you get a considerable amount of rain, and very little snow, rubber boots are perfect! Especially ones that you can wear super warm and cute socks in! You don't have to spend as much to get Hunters, your only paying for the name after all. Hunters are terrific and trendy, but at the end of the day, they're just another pair of rubber boots!

At the end of the day, all that really matters is that you keep your feet warm and dry :)

October is Breast Cancer month
Pink Pony by Ralph Lauren

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I was flipping through the October Issue of InStyle when I came across this:

I didn't realize that Ralph Lauren was doing this sort of thing, so I decided to take a look for it online. http://www.ralphlauren.com/family/index.jsp?ab=int_092911_PINKPONYLP_SHOPNOW&categoryId=3599464&cp=1766615&pg=1

10% of the proceeds are donated to Cancer Care and Prevention

The neat thing about this campaign is that you can personalize your own RL Pink Pony items! Some of the items can be personalized with your name etc.

Like this Pink Pony Track Jacket $165

And the back of the jacket where you can personalize it looks like this:

It is also available in white (my favourite):

Take a look for yourself! There are many other tops, jackets and polos - some standard and some you can personalize!

As always, Happy Shopping! :)

Love these items from the Kardashian Kollection!

These are some of the items that I want from the Kardashian Kollection!

I love big big rings! I also have very light skin and I think that this ring would look really good with the light pink tone!

This dress is so so sexy!

Take a look at the back of this dress!

The back of this dress is so sultry and sexy and it is great with the cut outs because you can wear a normal push-up bra and not have to worry about how it will look in the back!

This dress looks really comfortable and you can dress it up with heels or down with flats. The three different colours make an outfit in it's self!

These boots are just amazing! I might have to order them right now.......

The best part of the Kardashian Kollection is that the price points are really reasonable - they are priced for sears!

Where is fall?

In Toronto we are under a heat wave right now! It's going to go up to a high of 26 degrees today and I am going to update you with a couple of my most recent purchases, and then get outside to bask in the heat!

I intended to buy the poncho at H&M but when I went in and tried it on, I didn't think it looked right because I'm not very tall and it seemed to make me look shorter than I actually am. I did however find a couple of key pieces which will work really well with my fall wardrobe!

It was a bit of a toss up with some of the girls I went with because I really liked (and bought) a cardigan with elbow patches, I know the whole equestrian theme is really huge for fall and something about the elbow patches just makes the sweater complete and look more "fally" to me :)

So here's the first one:

I think once the weather dips down that this is going to look really great with black tights, my new black flat thigh high steve madden boots, and a scraf!

I also got this basic black one, and am thinking maybe I should get the camel coloured one as well? I'm not sure - check it out and let me know what you think of the colour of the camel coloured one!

This is a great base piece that I can dress up or down and it is really soft and snuggly :)

As always, happy shopping!

It's fall and it's time to bundle up in some really cute sweaters!

Fall is upon us up here in Canada, and although that means colder nights and inevitably winter..... it also means that there are lots of really cute and stylish fall sweaters for sale!

I was at the mall closest to my work today and I went into Zara and found this really nice sweater.... however, they didn't have the oatmeal colour in my size....

Sweaters are by far the best part of fall! I have also found some really cute dresses to pair with fall scarves and boots! The best one of which came from H&M and was $35 so it was a great deal! It has a lot of flare to the skirt and is super cute! The next time I wear it I will take a picture - maybe of twirling :)

I also found this, which is available right now at H&M....

Now it's a poncho, really I would have named it a belted sweater. The name "PONCHO" just conjures up some strange spanish person in one of those tye-dyed monstrosities that hippies think are cool - no offense hippies - it's just not cool to me!

Now this "belted sweater" is priced at a very reasonable $19.95! So you can probably guess what I will be doing at lunch tomorrow.. yes that's right H&M and a whole host of other retailers are within driving distance (2-3 minutes max) from my office - which is deadly for my bank account - but terrific for my wardrobe! This does mean however that I get first dibs most times that there are sales, no special trips to the mall required!

Until next time - happy shopping!
